    Hello,
I can not seem to find where to enable auto updates… on all other sites where I used JetPack I have not seen this issue…

The message I see on the dashboard is “Autoupdates are not available for ——. The file permissions on this host prevent editing files.”

Another error message noticed when loading all plugins from all sites “Error fetching plugins on XXXXXXXX.” (same site as an issue above)

“Autoupdates are not available for ——. The file permissions on this host prevent editing files.”

Autoupdates are most likely disabled in your site’s wp-config.php file, or in a plugin / mu-plugin installed by your hosting provider. You can look for the DISALLOW_FILE_MODS and AUTOMATIC_UPDATER_DISABLED constants in your wp-config.php file to find out, as explained here:
    https://jetpack.com/support/site-management/#troubleshooting

    “Error fetching plugins on XXXXXXXX.”

Your hosting provider may be blocking some of the requests made by WordPress.com to access your site’s data.

Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site, so we can investigate further?

    1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2) Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
    3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5) Click the “Contact Support” button.

    Thanks!

    Thank you.

none of the wp-config.php constants referred above have been defined.

I have tried all steps in Debug section. XML-RPC works via the link but Jetpack tests can not reach it….

    Request to support submitted.

It might be worth checking for plugins and mu-plugins as well, inserted in wp-content/plugins and wp-content/mu-plugins.

Excellent, thank you. We’ll get back to you soon!
