SG Window Comments on Static Front Page

Before the latest theme update, the comments box and subsequent comments showed up on my static front page. This is what I wanted and checked the comments box to make it so. SINCE the update, the comments and comment box have disappeared from my static front page.

I went in and made sure and yup! the box is still checked, but nothing shows (for me). Other people can go and see it fine. Still others go and see the comment box, make a comment and when they go back, it has disappeared.

I want them back! How do I get them back?? and how do I make it stable for every one? If you cannot tell me that, please tell me how to undo the latest update?? thank you
