Constantly getting "The connection was reset" error
-
I recently moved my WordPress site from one host to another host. The move seemed to go without a hitch, however, I am now constantly getting “The connection was reset” message, particularly in the backend (not as often on the frontend). Almost every time I try to access the plugins or other sections of the backend I am getting this message.
This host already has one WordPress site installed on it, and it is running smoothly. I was suspecting that maybe having 2 WordPress sites installed might be using up too much memory and slowing them down; however it is only the newly moved site which is getting the messages. The other site has been on this host for a long time, and is not having any speed issues or connection reset messages.
I have tried disabling all plugins, but the problem still happens, so it isn’t the plugins. Is there anything else I am missing? Why would this site be so effected when the other one isn’t?
