When you choose a thumbnail and return to the edit page, clicking “Crop Featured Image” returns: No featured image set for this post until now.

If you save as draft, then go back into the post, if you click “Crop Featured Image” – works as it should.

    Using Firefox 47, WordPress 4.6

  • Yes! We have the exact same problem. Please help!

@sorailicious: This is not your topic. If you require assistance then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic.

@esmi ?! Why open a new topic if we have the exact same problem as alex2k5?!

@sorailicious: These forums have guidelines. Please read them. As you will see, one of these guidelines – entitled Where to Post – specifically states:

Unless you are using the same version of WordPress on the same physical server hosted by the same hosts with the same plugins, theme & configurations as the original poster, do not post in someone else’s thread. Start your own topic.

    Please abide by this.

    Additional info:

Clicking “Preview” after setting a featured image, which opens a new window/tab and loads partially done story, then closing that out and returning to editor, allows you to crop again as normal. Without saving as draft and reloading the editor page.
