Display and alignment problem with thumbnails

iv activated the plugin and put the short code within the page of the gallery id like to set for people to view/select which photos they would like to download. But the thumbnails are all messed up on the page, and there is a big gap between the gallery and top of the page. Im only a beginner but im guessing this is a css issue? any help would be great.
