    Hi,

    I’m using mc4wp pro with 2 forms, one in English and other in Spanish. There is a unique MailChimp list that has the Spanish as a default language. The site has the WPML plugin to be able to change the site languages.

    When spanish users registers they receive the messages in spanish but when english users registers to newsletter the welcome messages are also in Spanish.

    I put the following code in mc4wp form to send the MC_LANGUAGE but it seems it is not working.
    <input type=”hidden” name=”MC_LANGUAGE” value=”{language}” />

    We need to have the same list in MailChimp.

    Any idea why is not working?

    Regards,

    Xavi

    The welcome messages are setup in MailChimp.com under the list settings. If the user does end up in the correct list for that language it should simple be that that email needs to be setup in the corresponding language in your MailChimp.com account.

    The welcome email is not send by our plugin directly.

    Hi Lap
    We have only one list in MailChimp.com with Spanish as a default language. Autotranslate is off.
    I thought that when I send the MC_LANGUAGE from mc4wp form to MailChimp.com, then MailChimp.com was able to know the site language, so MailChimp.com can send the messages with that language. But if I want to have only one list, how can I do that? Is it possible?

    By the other hand, if I ought to have two lists in MailChimp.com, one for Spanish users and other for English users, I think it is not necessary to send MC_LANGUAGE, isn’t it?

    Yes, sending MC_Language would not be needed in that case for you. Actually we always send MC_Language anyway, normally based on browser language of the subscriber, and with that custom code based on you WPML language.

    I advice setting up 2 lists so you can control the different MailChimp.com emails per lists. I’m not sure if there is a way to do this with just one list, I don’t think it is possible but to be 100% sure you will have to ask MailChimp.com support about this.
