    Hi,

I am new to WordPress. I am using Yoast SEO Plugin. I want to create roles for my writer to have access to Yoast SEO Plugin and not other plugins. I see there is “Add Capability” option. Can advise me what should I put in or where can I find the capability name to put in?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Yoast SEO plugin protects its menu items with ‘manage_options’ user capability. You may add it to the role in order to provide to it the access to Yoast SEO plugin menu items.

Be aware that doing this you will grant to a user access the critical “Settings” menu and some other menus also.

I do not want to allow access to the critical Settings and other plugins options. Is there an alternative way?

It’s possible to block selected admin menu items with Pro version add-on: https://www.role-editor.com/block-admin-menu-items
It’s useful when you can not differentiate an access using just user capabilities.
