• Hi,
I’m running WordFence on a number of sites on the same host, but I’m having problems with one particular site.
The WordFence plugin installs fine and activates. But when I try to optimise the plugin, or turn on Falcon I get an error – unable to modify .htaccess.
I’ve checked the permissions (644) and asked my hosting provider to double check them – they say they are fine.
I can open .htaccess from cPanel file manager and edit/change it no problem.
I’d be grateful for some assistance with resolving the problem.
The site is not currently live – in maintenance mode. I’d be happy to provide access details via PM/secure message.
    Thanks very much
    Mark

    Hi,
I have been able to get this working by manually adding a .user.ini for the firewall and by manually adding the falcon code to the .htaccess
But, I still don’t understand why there is a .htaccess problem?
    Thanks
    Mark
