• Resolved v2006

    (@v2006)

I’m unable to login to my WordPress site.
All I get is a blank page.
I tried renaming all plugins on the server and discovered one plugin causes errors when I disable it and the login box appears but still cannot login.
    Here’s my site: https://www.aclcnagtional.org

    Please help resolve

    Thank you

  • Hi,

If you get the blank admin page, all of a sudden, the website might be infected with malware. This way it prevents you from updating the website.

Can you access this url? https://aclcnational.org/wp-login.php

No Db connection, dude (classic mysql server down error)

    I though this is a post-error behaviour… ??

mmm well can you ping the localhost db from the host?
or you’re hosting all from your computer? phymyadmin works on local or no?

    Thanks for the swift replies

    No I cannot access https://aclcnational.org/wp-login.php
All the pages display so the database must be intact..right?
How do I ping the localhost db from the host (not hosted on my computer)?

Minutes ago your website had a database error. Do you know why it was displayed?

Anyway, if both urls are not working – wp-login.php or wp-admin/ you should really see what’s going on inside – can you check error logs from your server? If not, can you ask some help from your hosting provider?

When you remember making your last site update?

depends if you have ssh access for the ping (mysql will deny if not from localhost)
in general the host provides a link to phpmyadmin and is enough.

i’m also wondering, are you on nginx?

    Thanks for the feedback.
Unfortunately the host only has a back up of earlier today.
Last website update was 3 weeks ago. I’m on Linux
I can access error logs on server but don’t know what to look for or how to resolve the error.

Any ideas if/how to resolve this?

discovered one plugin causes errors when I disable it and the login box appears but still cannot login.

Why you can’t login? Which is the error?

Look for any clues you might find – check:

    * error_log file from your wordpress root directory and /wp-admin
    * access log , look for “0500] “POST” , maybe you have some vulnerable php scripts
    * error log , look for any errors and paste them here.

The login box appears under these errors but still can’t login

You’re getting now: “ERROR: Cookies are blocked due to unexpected output.”

Keep it this way, ignore the warnings and focus on fixing “ERROR: Cookies are blocked due to unexpected output.”
