Shopping Cart keeps dropping below menu

My cart keeps dropping below the menu. It’s like the menu doesn’t have enough room, so it drops below. However, there’s plenty of room. Any ideas how to fix? I’m not a coding engineer, but I’m thinking the padding to the right of the cart icon maybe too much. Check out the dropbox image links below. The 1st is the main menu style I want, but the cart drops down.
The 2nd is a menu style that frees a lot of menu space, and the cart works fine there.
