• Until a few days ago, I had enjoyed the robust reporting of my traffic on Google Analytics. I believe I neglected going to that site for over a year, and when I recently returned to Google Analytics, it had zero’d out all of my traffic for the three years I have used s WP blog.

I realize that this is a question for Google analytics, but I have found it impossible to reach them, either through their “feedback” function or their user forum.

Around this time, I installed the Google Analytics plug-in for my website and inserted the proper tracking number. It didn’t help.

Can anyone help me scratch the surface here?

If the analytics tracking script wasn’t running on the site, it won’t produce any tracking data. And it’s not going to retroactively track or restore data, either, once installed.

The only way to contact Google is through their forums.

Mr. Ratledge, I appreciate your timely comment. I will go to the forum. But please know that it (GA) had been functioning properly for a couple of years. How does a tracking script stop running on a site?

How do you know the tracking script was included and the Javascript running per page load? If it was, then your Google account dropped the data; that’s something for Google to answer.
