looking at my scan I wanted to do a link checker
on W3C link checker but got a 403 Error message

Here is the scan I am asking about because Wordfence says it is checking
6URL. I was wondering what those URL are???

    [Aug 10 06:02:26]?Checking 6 URLs from 3 sources.
    [Aug 10 06:02:27]?Done URL check.
[Aug 10 06:02:27]?Done file contents scan
[Aug 10 06:02:27]?Examining URLs found in posts we scanned for dangerous websites
[Aug 10 06:02:27]?Checking 5 host keys against Wordfence scanning servers.
[Aug 10 06:02:28]?Done host key check.
    [Aug 10 06:02:28]?Checking 2 URLs from 1 sources.
    [Aug 10 06:02:29]?Done URL check.
    [Aug 10 06:02:29]?Done examining URLs
[Aug 10 06:02:29]?Starting password strength check on 2 users.

is there something in Word Fence I should change to not
    get this message?

  • Hello Kimbert,
I would assume the link checker is working fast and you have fairly strict settings in Wordfence which causes the link checker to be blocked. If you check the Live Traffic feed in Wordfence you should be able to see when the link checker gets banned. There will be a reason stated and from that you should be able to figure out which rules you need to relax in Wordfence in order for the Link checker to be allowed to run. I would assume it’s the “Rate limiting rules”.

when the link checker gets banned.

    Where do I see this?

I have just redone a check

    Hi Kimbert,
you can see it in the “Live Traffic” view in Wordfence.
