Just made updates to a clients site and got the new validator. I ran it and get an error on two of my forms, but nothing looks wrong in there. I’ve read the FAQ on it and haven’t come across anything that shows how to find better find what the issue that the validator had. Is there a way to do this that I’m missing? If not, can we get something like this, it would greatly help, especially for all the current users that are using the form and updating to the new version of the plugin.

    Thanks,

    AJ

  • Most common problems are:

    1) The email/subject form-tags not being set to required*. e.g.

    [email* your-email]
    [text* your-subject]

    2) The From email address in the mail-tag not matching the domain where the form is being sent from. e.g.

    From: [your-name] <[email protected]>

If this doesn’t help, post screenshots of the Form and Mail configuration here.

I made this change but now my spam filter thinks the contact form submissions are spoofing my actual email. Before I did the update I was able to put [your-email] <your-email> in the From: field. Now it gives this error.
