  • @vann Digital Networks,

    Can you just save the settings once, maybe try to adjust the dimensions a bit, update the settings.

    Upload a few images and see if it works and then revert to original settings.

    Cheers

    So I tried all that but I’m still getting the same results…

    @vann Digital Networks,

    I apologize for the delay in response.

    Are you facing issue with any specific image or it is same with all of them? Also, can you possibly enable and check WordPress debug log for any errors related to Smush, if you’re familiar with it.

    I tried the feature on few of my sites and it works good.

    Cheers

    Hello @vann Digital Networks,

    WP Debug is on. What am I looking for???

    If you enabled logging to debug.log file

    define('WP_DEBUG', true);
    define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
    define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );

    then try run smush on those problematic images, then in wp-content look for debug.log and inside look for any notices, warning or errors that are pointing to smush (you will see wp-smushit in plugin path).

    kind regards,

    For some strange reason, I couldn’t find anything when I ran WP_DEBUG. But yet, it’s still an issue…

    Hello Vann Digital Networks,

    Is there anything in your debug log file after trying to smush problematic images? Any new lines show up?

    kind regards,
    Kasia

    That’s what I’m saying: I couldn’t find a thing when I ran WP_DEBUG. But yet, it’s still an issue…

    You can select I’ve a different question, mention “Attn. Umesh Kumar” in subject, and add a link to this thread in message and send it over.

    Done!!!

    Hey there,

    As I replied in the email

    The images are resized and checked for file size. If after resizing file size is bigger or same as the original image, we don’t replace the original file, and hence in this case the images are not resized.

    And hence the few images are not resized in your media library.

    Cheers

    I couldn’t find debug.log file even though i have inserted following lines on wp-config file.

    define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true);
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true );
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY’, false );

    Does anyone know the reason ?

    Hi @prabhu72,

    Error log will show up only if you have any errors on your site.

    If you need help with WP Smush please start new thread per forum rules.

    Thank you,
    Predrag
