Browser Problems When Using Registered User Only Plugins
-
I have the “Registered Only” plug-in installed in order to make my blog accessible by registered users only who are logged in.
The problem is that if any of my users are using any browser other than Internet Explorer, they are not able to access the front-end of the site. So after they log-in they are automatically redirected to the admin area (back end of the site) when this plug-in is running and if they click on the “View Site” link from the admin area, it just returns them to the same admin area page. Meaning they can never actually get onto the front end to surf the site.
I have tried it with Netscape, Safari, Opera, and Firefox and the result are the same with all of those browsers too. There are also a couple of other plug-ins that do the same thing that I have also tried instead like “Registered Users Only” and “Members Only” to see if I could get any of the other browsers working besides Internet Explorer, but the result is the same with those two other plug-ins as well. Again, Internet Explorer works fine with all of these 3 plug-ins, but no other browser does.
Any ideas on why this problem might exist would be greatly appreciated. It would be nice if my users were able to use other browsers to surf the site, especially those using an Apple computer since many of them don’t have Internet Explorer installed.
Thanks.
Marc
