  • Hi rocky. Your Home menu item is assigned to page-id-131 but I don’t see any content on that page. Your categories are also all assigned to specific pages. Are you using pages or posts on your site?

I have articles under Posts and Categories under pages and in the menu. How do I get all my articles to show on the homepage as I have ticked show latest posts in menu settings. How do I connect my posts to the categories e.g. Fitness post under fitness gadget category?

On your menu, for the Home item use a Custom Link, the URL is your site, the Link Text is “Home”. For the Categories item, use a Custom Link, the URL is # (no https://, just a # sign) and the Link Text is “Categories”. Then add the Categories, not Pages, as submenu items. You don’t need to create specific category Pages to generate the category archive pages; WP will build them automatically.

I have done this but its still not working. How do I get content to show my latest posts on the homepage?

When you first load your site, that’s your home page with your latest posts. It’s not a physical page; WP creates it dynamically. Your Home menu item is still pointing to page 131 which doesn’t have any content. You need to delete that menu item and replace it as I described above. Or else you have a cache and/or CDN that needs to be cleared.

    Rocky,

On the dashboard under Settings>Reading do you have the “Static Page” or “Your latest posts” radio button selected?

It appears that when you go to your URL (https://digitalclassic.co.uk/) the blog post appears but when you click on the Home link a different page is selected. Maybe change the menu link to the base URL (https://digitalclassic.co.uk/) for the site?

    Good luck,
    Brett
