[Theme: Button] removal of spaces in metadata

Hello I’ve used:
.entry-meta .meta-sep, .entry-meta .author { display: none; }

In the css to remove the author from the meta data on my posts. However, now the meta data leaves a space after the date with two small dots as a separator leaving the date/comment slightly off center with a gap in the middle.

I need to remove this space and ideally only have one dot separating the two portions in the meta data under the post.

Any thoughts??
