sending to selected emails

I can not get the pipes or select recipient forms to work…
here is the codes I have tried:
<p>Interested in…
<select name=”destinate”>
<option value=”[email protected]”>Renting</option>
<option value=”[email protected]”>Purchasing</option>
</select>mail to : [destinate]
it says it send but nothing happens…
Then I tried:
<p>Interested in…
[checkbox* Interested in… “Renting|[email protected]” “Purchasing|[email protected]”]mail to : [Interested in…]
this one give me an error of either fill out form – not understanding that you only need to check one.. or contact administrator another way… please help…
