• Hi,

Step 1 went fine, but having some issue with step 2. Receiving the following message after filling out the fields:

Sorry, that isn’t a valid email address. Email addresses look like [email protected].

    Any solution on this?

    /Joachim

  • What email address did you enter? Are you sure it’s valid with no typos?

    Hi,

Several different addresses. Does step 2 link to step 1, and i need to use the same username and password (db credentials)?

I thought step 2 was “my” logon, and that I choose username and password…

No, in step 2 you can technically enter anything you want for the email address (and you can change it later). Did you try something simple like [email protected]?

Did you get a solution to this problem?

I’m trying to install WordPress and am getting the same error (“Sorry, that isn’t a valid email address. Email addresses look like [email protected].”) at the second install page.. the form is asking for a username but tells me that the email address is invalid. I’ve tried putting my email address and random email addresses in there – no difference.

Brand new install, downloaded a fresh copy of WP 4.6.1 this morning, new database as well. Nothing else in the root nor the sub directory. Any help gratefully received.
