Thanks a lot for the opportunity to use WCmp plugin. it has been great putting a market together with limited coding experience. I have a few question.
    1. I am just about to launch my site and I noticed that on the vendor dashboard, vendors have control of comments. they can approve, disapprove and trash any comment that comes on the site. please, how can I ensure that only admins can approve/disapprove comments?
    2. I noticed that vendors can see on their dashboard whenever any form is submitted on my site. eg. whenever a new vendor submits a form, it comes up. I do not want the vendors to be able to see the forms submitted.
    3. is it possible to remove the vendor dashboard altogether.
    4. is it possible for vendors to create their own delivery options, e.g pickup and drop off without having a site wide option.
    5. how do I remove the “howdy” vendor from the backend
    6. when buyers are signed on, how do i have a welcome message with their name on it?
    7. can vendors set a vary list of shipping prices based on predetermined locations? e.g deliveries to the island $x etc

    thanks a lot,

    juwonlo

  • Thanks for holding patience @juwonlo. Let me take care of your queries one by one.

    1. I am just about to launch my site and I noticed that on the vendor dashboard, vendors have control of comments. they can approve, disapprove and trash any comment that comes on the site. please, how can I ensure that only admins can approve/disapprove comments?

Ans I believe by comments you are referring the reviews system. If yes, then I would like to correct you here, WC-Marketplace doesn’t provide any control to the vendors for the comments. Whatever, rating and reviews shared by the customer are completely controlled by the site admin only. If I am missing anything here then please help me to understand your concern.

    2. I noticed that vendors can see on their dashboard whenever any form is submitted on my site. eg. whenever a new vendor submits a form, it comes up. I do not want the vendors to be able to see the forms submitted.

Ans Sorry, WC-Marketplace doesn’t support any form submission system presently.

    3. Is it possible to remove the vendor dashboard altogether?

Ans Yes, you can do it through customization.

    4. Is it possible for vendors to create their own delivery options, e.g pickup and drop off without having a site wide option.

Ans WC-Marketplace supports Flat Rate and International Flat Rate by default at this moment. Along with them, you can use Table Rate Shipping option using WooCommerce Table Rate Shipping plugin with WCMp Advance Shipping add-on. WCMp Advacnce Shipping is free addon bridging WC Marketplace and WC Table Rate Shipping.

    5. how do I remove the “howdy” vendor from the backend
Ans That’s a WordPress thing, so you have to customize the WordPress’s coding.

    6. when buyers are signed on, how do i have a welcome message with their name on it?

Ans For this you have to tweak the WooCommerce’s My account page (Edit: plugins > woocommerce > templates > myaccount > my-account.php).

    7. can vendors set a vary list of shipping prices based on predetermined locations? e.g deliveries to the island $x etc.

Ans Surely, you can by using the shipping zone system provided by the WooCommerce for this. You can create zones and set different delivery prices based on the shipping zones.

Hope the shared information will be helpful.

thanks a lot for your reply. with regards to q1 about comments, I am indeed referring to reviews made about products. i can give you the username and password of one of the demo vendors i created and you will see that on the vendor dashboard, you will see the comment made to another demo vendor, and also that you have control of the comment. pls send me your email address?
@q2: I will just wait for RM support to get back to me.
@q3: when you mean I can customise, u mean touching code right? Is it possible to help me with this? if i can stop vendors controlling comments and seeing forms submitted, i won’t need to do that. but cos i cant yet is why this has become an option. is there a code u can give me to sort this out or do I need to get a coding person to do this?
q4. @ edit my account php, i didn’t find me. maybe i have to carefully look a 3rd time

thanks alot. alos, i an sorry so all the stupid sounding questions, my coding skils is very elementary atm
