Can’t get a password

  • I haven’t edited my web site in… quite a while, and I don’t have the password for my copy of WordPress written down anywhere. So, when I clicked the ‘forgot password’ link, I figured it would send me a new password.

    Only it doesn’t.

    Instead it send a link for me to click on that send me to a page that tells me I have an invalid key. Outside of just re-installing the entire database, is there anyway to retrieve my password?

    Okay, got my password thanks to a decent hack.

    Now the ENTIRE database went wonky, and I can’t access it. Any of it. Yes, I uninstalled the emergency.php hack, and yes, the wordpress folder is still on my server.

    But all I get is error 404 messages!
