  • Same thing.

    WordPress 4.5.3
    Redirection 2.4.5

I could successfully import redirections 2 months ago (not in the same website though)

I have the same problem. I donated using PayPal so I am hoping it will work.

    Dear John Godley,
Please respond and let us know when this issue will be fixed. I donated for the plugin and really need to be able to upload my redirects before our new website goes live this week.
    Thanks!
    Ann

This is resolved for me. The problem was that I was missing the fact that I had to create a group first and then select that group from the dropdown when importing. Maybe that will work for you as well, Annette.

    Thanks dgraydesign.
I just created a group and uploaded my csv file to it and the redirect tab now shows only one file named “source URL”. The other 172 redirects are not there. I have tried saving the file with Excel and Open Office.
My column headers are “source URL” and “target URL”.
    Thanks again!

I guess I should mention that I am trying to redirect from our old domain name to our new one:
    source URL target URL
    https://www.seidaho.org/ https://idahohighcountry.org/
    https://www.seidaho.org/aboutus.html https://idahohighcountry.org/aboutus/

I just read on the support page
“The source does not require your website address, and it is only possible to redirect a URL that exists on your website (you cannot redirect an external website, for example).”
When our website goes live I plan to point the seidaho.org domain and all pages to our new WordPress website. Is this plugin even capable of that?

I think I may have finally figured it out and was able to upload the redirects. Please let me know if I am correct.
I removed the domain names from the columns hoping that once I point seidaho.org to idahohighcountry.org the old page addresses will be redirected:

    source URL target URL
    /aboutus.html /aboutus/
    /americanfalls.html /americanfalls/
    /arts.htm /arts/

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Hi, I’m also unable to import my .csv file. Perhaps if someone could let us know what format it needs to be in we would be in better shape? This is a sample of my format:
    source URL target URL
    /alameda/santa-rita-jail.html /alameda/santa-rita-jail
    /alameda/glenn-dyer-jail.html /alameda/glenn-dyer-jai
    /alameda/hayward.html /alameda/hayward.html

Two columns, but that doesn’t work. Please help.

    Hi
Check to make sure there are no errors in the data. I had some redirects that had spaces between file name words that had been filled with 20%. It worked once I replaced 20% with the empty space.
