• I have a WordPress site that will have the default page be something other than the posts. I want to create a page called “blog” that shows the most recent posts but the page template options only show archive and links. How do I make a page be the current blog posts?

  • Just create the page and give it the title Blog, then publish it.

Then go into Settings > Reading, and use the dropdown menus near the top of the page to choose your new Front page and Posts page (which would be the “Blog” page you just created).

The Page Templates you’re referring to are an entirely different animal. I’d suggesting reading up on Page Templates if you want to know more about those.

Doh! “Front page” made sense. And “Posts page” should have made sense.
    Thank you!
