Envira Gallery Plugin Not Working?

I hope this is the right place to post this. On the toolbar on the left hand side I can create and add photos to my envira gallery plugin. However, when I go to “pages” and to “drafts” then select a draft and try to “add gallery” using the envira gallery button… nothing happens. Do I need to update my version of wordpress? What could be causing the issue?
