• I’ve asked this before, but not here (I hope).

I can tell from heat maps that LOTS of people click the featured image on some of my posts. I would like those clicks to go somewhere– that is, I would like the featured image to be clickable with a URL of my choice attached. I was hoping that Jetpack would add this but so far, they have not.

I would have to be able to specify the custom URL on a post-by-post basis. Sometimes there would not be one.

Thanks to you I am learning bit by bit how to go into the child theme and make some changes so I think I could do this if you give me some direction.

Of course if you just want to add it to the theme that is great too!

    Thank you–

    c

    Hi
This is not allowed by the www.remarpro.com theme guidelines. We can’t save data (links) in themes, since the user would loose this data when the they switch themes.
Aaron already saves more data than what is allowed (the highlights) so if I added even more the theme would risk getting removed from the theme directory.

I’ve added an option to hide the featured image in single post view. Then you can add the image again in your post and make it clickable.
