• My 1st blog refused to display the visual editor, and the F12 develops tools showed that it was referencing TinyMCE as the reason the PHP. Removing TinyMCE did not work or any of other suggestions found here. After a month I gave up and only backed up my content, not the plugins, from the Tools – Export screen of WordPress. I did not export the plugins, only content.

I then created a brand new WordPress installation, reloaded plugins (not TinyMCE) and made a post, with no problems.

Now I update to version 4.5.3 and the visual editor is again gone and TinyMCE is being referenced in the PHP code as the error.

    Any ideas?

Figured out what caused my crash…

    Sucuri Security… I had used a hardening option….

    Restrict wp-includes access
This option blocks direct PHP access to any file inside wp-includes.

Once this was unhardened the visual editor re-appeared.

Sorry to hear you were having problems with TinyMCE but glad to hear it worked out.
