    Hi,
I just updated this plugin and received the notice:

Testimonials Widget uses Review schema markup for the testimonials. A recent move by Google may penalize your website for using improper schema snippets. Please use Review schema at your own risk via Settings.

No matter what I have tried, the notice won’t go away!
I first just clicked the “x” but it reappears the next time I load an admin page. I tried purging the cache. I went to Settings and re-saved, but it still persists.

Anything else I can do to permanently remove this notice?

    Thanks,
    Sarah

    Hi Sarah,

Clicking on the X button on top-right corner of the notice should remove the notice permanently. Can you please check and let me know if you see any error in Chrome console while clicking on the close button ?

Please let me know the WP version and the cache plugin you are using so I can try and reproduce the issue at my end.

    Thanks

    Hello There

    I have the same problem

Below is from console Hosting WPE

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 1.4.1

    Hello There

    The file that is “missing”
    /wp-content/plugins/testimonials-widget/assets/js/tw-admin-scripts.js

I’m seeing the same thing as Mark:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) – …/wp-content/plugins/testimonials-widget/assets/js/tw-admin-scripts.js

I’m running the latest version of WordPress and W3 caching plugin.

I am also seeing this problem. Running latest WP 4.5.3, latest WP SuperCache 1.4.8. on latest Schema Theme 3.1.0. Chrome browser.

Same here – click the x to close the message, but it returns the next time the page loads.

As I’m using the widget to show testimonials, what guarantee that I won’t be impacted by penalties from Google?

Same with all the rest: no matter how many times I click the “x” the message returns.

    Hi All,

I am sorry about the trouble. Indeed, the file /wp-content/plugins/testimonials-widget/assets/js/tw-admin-scripts.js was missing while pushing through SVN. I have now added it and released version 3.3.3

Please upgrade and the notice can be closed.

    Thanks

I was also having problems with this on v3.3.3. In the end I was able to dismiss the notification box by going to the settings page for Testimonials Widget and then dismissing the box from that page.

Thanks for resolving the issue, had to do the same thing as Matt, but the warning is gone now.

Thanks, Subharanjan! The 3.3.3 update seems to have resolved the issue for me.

I am experiencing the same issues as above but have not been able to resolve.

    WordPress: 4.7
    Testimonials Widget: 3.3.4

It seems to be working correctly on my production server, but not on my development box.

I have copied the files from production to development; compared the settings; tried closing from the plugins Settings page and from the site dashboard; and have no errors in the console.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks
