All In One WP Security & Firewall: visual editor is blank

    Hello,

    I have this plugin installed on a few sites, love it.

    My visual editor has gone blank in two sites that have this plugin.

    I’m wondering…is it possible that any of the additions to the .htaccess file cause the Visual Editor in wordpress to like go ‘blank or just show white’?? The Text editor works…

    **I did not try deactivating the plugin yet because I had some trouble getting it to be configured properly originally; so worried what will happen if it’s deactivated ??

    I’m just wondering first of all if this plugin can cause this.

    A few other posts suggested adding the following to the wp-config file but that did not fix it…

    file:define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false );

    I have other sites with the same version of wordpress so I don’t think it has anything to do with the version.

    Hi, try the following. Go to WP Security -> Settings and click on the following button Disable All Firewall Rules. Carry out a test and report back with the outcome.

    IT WAS NOT YOUR PLUGIN ??

    OK ** I figured it out!!

    The reason the visual editor was not working was because of code we added into the .htaccess file. We had to add this code due to some hacking, and needed to re-route malicious links / pages to resolve to a 404 page. The code is working for that purpose, but for sure affecting the Visual Editor.

    Just wanted to report back!
