• My work where the website will be used predominantly runs IE8 so whilst a pain I want it to work there. It was working well but in the last week takes so long to load it almost crashes without me making any changes. Maybe a script taking too long but not sure why it would do this all of a sudden. It works fine in all other browsers.

    Any help greatly appreciated

    Two separate issues here.

    1) Whether it works in IE8. The theme you’re using has CSS styles written to target IE6 upwards so it ought to. Does it? The only way to know is test it in a range of browsers.

    2) How fast it loads. For that, don’t trust your own browser, use a third party tool such as https://tools.pingdom.com/

And it’s slow. 9 seconds to load the home page. Why is it slow? Run a test yourself and look at the results and read the recommendations.

One file never loads because there’s a misspelling .pngg.

    Various images could be optimised.

Maybe not all those 96 files need to be loaded.
