Merge two categories

    Copied from the dashboard:

    “Note: Deleting a category does not delete the posts in that category. Instead, posts that were only assigned to the deleted category are set to the category xxxx ( = your default category with IP 1).”

    See this thread . That trick only works when the posts you want to move are only in one category. if they are in any others then they will just lose the deleted category and not gain the default one.
