Error with WordPress Thread Comment plugin

    I have a wordpress 2.5.1. After I was trying to upgrade WordPress Thread Comment Plugin from version 1.4.6 to version 1.4.7 I’m getting this error message

    Parse error: parse error, unexpected ‘&’, expecting T_VARIABLE or ‘$’ in ‘*WORDPRESSROOT*/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-thread-comment/wp-thread-comment.php on line 611
