I have a site with posts that are either going to be news or blog posts. So I used post categories to make it happen BUT the main navigation link ( titled News ) goes to the category/news section. Since that nav link is the news category of posts when a user clicks the blog section to read to blog posts, the news link in the main navigation will not high light ( I suppose it’s due to the hierarchy ). I want to make the News link in the main nav? to remain highlighted because the site layout should has news and blog posts under the News nav link.
There are actually no pages, instead I made the menu so that when I user clicks News in the main nav it goes to categories news.

I thought I fixed it by making the blog posts category under the news category but that doesn’t work because then the news category shows both news and blog posts.
