• I think this is the version (we are up to date), as I can’t look it up because the website has crashed and we get this error message. This happened after a staff person was looking at the code of the jetpack.php under the Coraline theme using the WordPress appearance editor. Attempted to paste in 3 lines of code at the end, but it did not create desired effect. So deleted the 3 lines. When she exited out of the file to look at another, that’s when this syntax error appeared.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’ in /home/becvote1/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/themes/coraline/inc/jetpack.php on line 30

Any clue as to what we can do to solve since we can’t log in to see the theme/appearance Editor? Thank you for any help especially immediate!

    the website is https://www.becvote.org/wordpress

And that’s why using appearance->editor is a really bad idea!

Do you have FTP access to the site? if so, you can either download that file, fix it, and re-upload it or just rename wp-content/themes/coraline to wp-content/themes/coraline.disabled and that will force WP to switch to a default theme (probably twentysixteen)
