Date not updating

The post list date is not updating properly. Two old posts always show up first in list for both thumbnails and rotator. The most recent post shows up third. Not resetting date or looking for wrong date. All three have same category.
I hate to delete and reinstall the plugin, but that is probably what has to be done.
