Still can’t get to the root of this problem, i re-installed wordpress 2.5 updated it to 2.5.1, everything seems fine, but when i post an article, the comment turns off.

Can’t you just go to “settings”, “discussion” and check the box “anyone can comment”?
Turning off and on commenting has nothing to do with widgets I suppose, a plugin perhaps, but a widget?

i’ve tried to correct it through the admin by going tothe “settings”, “discussion” and check the box “anyone can comment”?

But still i can’t get the comment on,(it still shows “comment off”) probably there’s a broken line of code somewhere, i don’t know where to look for it or what to look for. my blog is at https://www.thedbn.com

go to edit on one of the posts. Find Comments & Pings see if you have checked to allow them.

Isn’t it some bug in your theme? Does this also happen when you change to default?

I’ve resolved the problem, the probelm was caused by another plugin i installed “add-your-own-headers”. i resolved the problem by de-activating the plugin.

I’m having the same trouble. Could it really be cause by a plugin?
