Jetpack Says My Site is Down But it's Not

Hi there,

I am not a coder and just trying to get a blog up and running and I just learned I launched with a production URL rather than the real one. Now I have been told that for Jetpack to stop sending me emails that my site is down I need to reinstall it.

Is there a way to do this without impacting my site? I don’t want to lose anything I’ve done.

Also, it has left me with dead links on my FB and Twitter posts because of the redirect. Is there a way to fix that so the links work when people click them. I don’t want to lose the traffic since I’m just building my audience and don’t want people to become frustrated.
