• Hi
    I love the type and the default colors in this theme, but on select elements the text seem to be white on a light grey color, so they are harder to read. Without looking at the code,the select list doesnt seem to have quite the same styling as other elements.

    Perhaps this can be updated in your next version.

  • Hi Carolina,

    While the developer actually fixes this in next update, you can let us know your website’s link and we will figure something out for you. Thanks!

    Just realized you are a theme developer yourself, you can probably figure this out yourself ?? If not, let us know and I’ll be glad to help.

    Hi Carolina,

    Thank you so much for the feedback!

    Can you confirm if the search box in the upper right of the theme’s demo site is an example of what you’re referring to? I want to make sure I’m looking at the correct element and not missing anything:

    Thanks.

    Actually I didn’t notice that until you mentioned it.
    I meant the select list, try checking “Display as dropdown” on the archive widget.

    I was on my android phone when I first posted, but now that I look at the select list in firefox and chrome on the pc, it’s white on white.

    Thanks for clarifying. ?? I was able to replicate in Firefox and on my Android device:

    The text in the select box is a darker grey when viewing in Chrome and Safari on my Mac, though. Can you confirm if the text appears differently to my screenshot on your PC? Here’s the screenshot of what I’m seeing:

    I’ve reported the issue back to the team and will let you know when I hear back from them.

    Carolina: I double-checked the text in the search box and the colour being used seems to be the browser’s default for placeholder text. Although it does seems a little light to me, it passed AA standards for larger text when I put the colours through a colour contrast analyser.

    I’m therefore going to hold off from reporting that back to the team but let me know if you think it should get reported.

    To update: The issue with the low contrast between the background and text in select elements has been fixed by our team and the fix will be rolled out after Orvis is approved for the www.remarpro.com repository.

    You can add the following custom CSS to your own site as a temporary workaround while we wait for the update:

    select {
        color: #000;
    }

    Thanks again for the report!
