Change Site Name on Email Notification

    Hi, I copied a site of mine onto another domain and host, the only problem is when I use the contact form by jetpack it states the old sites as the sender on the email notification, all the wordpress settings are set to the new websites name the only thing I can’t change is the sites name on the email I get from the jetpack form.

    The sender shows as this on the email:
    Old Website <[email protected]>

    I want it to show as:
    New Website <[email protected]>

    How can I get this changed?

    Jetpack pulls the site name from the Site Title setting under Settings > General in your dashboard. If you’ve changed the site title there, but the changes don’t appear in Jetpack Subscription emails, it’s most likely because the changes haven’t been synchronized yet. You can force an update of your Jetpack settings by following these steps:

    1) Go the Jetpack menu in your dashboard
    2) Click on “My Jetpack” at the top of the page.
    3) Click on “Disconnect Site from WordPress.com” if your site is currently connected to WordPress.com.
    4) Confirm the disconnection.
    5) Click on the Connect button to connect your site to WordPress.com again.

    Your site title appears to be set to Biz Car | Car Finance right now:

    That’s also the Site Title saved in your Jetpack settings.

    If you see a different sender name in the emails you’ve received from Jetpack since you updated your site URL, could you make sure you didn’t create a contact entry matching that email address, but with a different name, in your email client’s settings?

    I have tried three different email boxes which have never received any emails from this form and they all come from the old websites name, thank you

    Oh, I think I misunderstood your first post. I thought you were talking about Jetpack Subscriptions, when in fact you’re referring to the emails sent when someone submits a contact form on the page you linked to earlier. Sorry about that!

    The Contact Form details are all managed on the site itself, so things should be easier to manage.

    Could you open the page editor, copy the contact form shortcode, and paste it here so I can take a look at it?

    I tested the form on my site, and the Sender name is correctly set to the surname used when submitting the form.

    If that doesn’t seem to work for you, it could be linked to your site’s email configuration. Do you use a plugin like Postman to overwrite the way emails are sent from your WordPress installation?
    If you don’t, could you try to set up Postman to send the emails through a different email provider, and let me know if the problem remains?
