I want to start using the Redirection plugin to manage redirects on a site that I have recently taken over, but it already has some redirects set up manually in the .htaccess file.

On testing it out on my local version of the site, it appears to break the existing redirects, and they stay broken even when I deactivate the plugin.

Is there a way to start using the plugin without breaking the existing redirects? I’d really prefer not to have to re-enter them all into Redirection.

OK, my bad, this is one of those “realize you’ve done something wrong as soon as you post asking for help” situations. The existing redirects do seem to be working just fine.
(Why can’t we delete our own posts here??)
