hover doesn't work on moblie

Hover doesn’t work on mobile devices. Specifically on iPad and iPhone. When I click on the image it acts like a link with a “#” URL and just pops up to the top of the page. Then if you scroll back down it will show the effect. Not very practical for mobile.
