• Evening all,

I’m running WP 4.5.2 with the Toddlers theme and various plugins, and seem to have somehow broken a couple of javascript functions on my homepage – but I’ve no idea how!

    https://www.thetoybarrow.com

As you’ll be able to see, there are a couple of error messages in the console, and neither the slider at the top nor the product tabs (new, best, sale) are responding when the controls are clicked. I’ve not changed anything in any of the files before this stopped working, although I had activated and deactivated a number of different plugins.

At first I assumed it was plugin related, however even with all plugins deactivated it’s still the same. I’ve also tried copying the functions.php file directly from my theme, but still the same.

Can anybody suggest anything please? The last time I had a js issue it was down to the minifier plugin I was using, so I switched to a different one – although I’ve also tried without any at all (as above, all plugins deactivated) and it doesn’t change.

    Many thanks,

    Marc

  • Hello ttb,

Uploading a new jquery.js I can manage I think, but I’ve no idea what you mean by changing the order of jQuery files I’m afraid?

Do you mean to change the order they are listed in the functions.php file? If so, the file looks like the below – I did try moving the section which mentions idangerous.swiper.min.js but just broke the site entirely so that it wouldn’t load, haha. Had to upload a clean functions.php just to get access back.

[ Excessive PHP redacted please do not post that here. ]

    Cheers,

    Marc

I’ve just tried updating to the latest version of jQuery, but that didn’t solve the problem, so I assume if it is a conflict it’s down to the order of the files in some way?
