Site won't load after publishing a post

  • Hi guys, my site is https://www.tenblog.net.

    I posted about 10 minutes ago and since then my site is stuck hanging, the CPU and memory usage spiked on GoDaddy, but has now returned to normal however my site still won’t load.

    Very frustrating. Any idea why it spikes after I publish a post, causing it to lose connection and the site to not load? Are there any usual suspect plugins?

    A plugin could be using a hook when you are publishing, causing an issue if something didn’t work right.

    Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
