    Hi there!

Love this plugin and i’m using the free version. The last weeks i sent out some automatic newsletters when a new blogpost was created. Worked fine. I’m using the latest version 4.0.14.

Today i made a new blogpost and no newsletter was sent out. If i test the sendout in the layouts it works. The only change i am aware of since the last working newsletter (3 days ago) was the update today of 2 plugins. It was “Justified Image Grid” and “Facebook Widget”.
I have read an older supportticket where someone had trouble with jquery after update. I dont know if “Justified Image Grid” is using this but maybe it’s a usefull hint. There are no entries in the error-logs of your plugin for the publishing time of the post.

Any suggestions? Newsletter settings weren’t change at all.

    Thank you very much!
    Frank

    Hi Frank.

Thank you for your kind words!

Please go to ‘Newsletters’ -> ‘Settings’ -> ‘Cron Jobs’ and let me know what the ‘Next Scheduled Event’ time displays as? Does it display the current days date, or as 1970-01-01?

    Thanks for reply!

    It shows (german):
Geplant für die Ausführung am: 2016-05-30 18:58:51
    Aktuelle Serverzeit: 2016-05-30 18:58:16

I know that low traffic could be an issue, but i have at least 20 visitors/day and i always publish posts when i’m online.
Do you recommend to set a cronjob for this?

    regards
    Frank

    Hi Frank.

Lets try set up a Cron Job and see if this helps? Are you comfortable in setting this up?

    Hi Frank.

So glad to hear it sent out.

If this happens again though please let me know so that we can continue debugging ??

Sorry to bother you because i use this plugin for free.

But maybe you can clarify what actions must be done, to send out the newsletter without using a cron.

Must there be a directly access from elsewhere to the website, that the automatic newsletter will be send out after publish? Or the way around: if no one access the website the letter will not be sent out? If yes, within what timeperiod there must be an access?

    Thank you so much

    Hi Frank.

As WP Cron only fires when visitors are on your site, no mails will be sent out if the cron doesn’t fire.

To work around that, the easiest solution would be to ‘permanently’ trigger a cron job being fired as if there were visitors on your site all the time.

    I hope this helps?
