After moving from Yoast to SEO Framework, our post authors are no longer displaying in our meta info on single post. To see an example, please refer to https://designoneweb.com/diy-seo-part-2-on-page-elements/. Below post title, author nicename linking to author posts should be displaying after “By” and before the date.

As seen in our blog page, post meta is displaying properly on archive pages using the same PHP code ‘<?php FLTheme::post_top_meta(); ?>’

We love the plugin and have seen improvement in pageload speed, but we will have to go back to Yoast if we can’t display post meta consistently.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi designoneweb,

It might be that the theme was relying on features set by Yoast? I really can’t tell. Maybe Yoast took over the Author allocation feature, but I really can’t tell for sure.

Nevertheless, The SEO Framework doesn’t alter anything within WordPress’s content after wp_head().

To fix this, you can set the post author in the Post Author Metabox on the Post or Page, which is a default Metabox set by WordPress itself. I think this should reflect its outcome on the page. If you can’t find this Metabox, check out the Screen Settings at the top right.

You can even bulk-edit Posts and Pages in the Posts overview and set the Post Author for multiple posts at the same time.
If that doesn’t work, let me know!

I hope this clears things up! Good luck! ??
