• Hi,
I wanted to add a Posts Widget in the Right Sidebar. Layout 1 does not work well for my content, and I can’t tell what Layout 4 is supposed to look like because when I select it the page just becomes a mess. What is going on?
    Thanks,
    Claire

(In the meantime I am using the ‘latest posts’ widgets, but it does not look as nice so I would prefer the other one)

@cvergerio Can you please let us know how you are not able to select layout 4 from the Posts widget? Whats your site address?

    This is the site: https://oxfordbrookes.web.ucu.org.uk/

What I mean is that I can physically select layout 4 from the Posts widget, but when I do it makes the posts repeat themselves and overlap and go all over the page. So I cannot use it.

Also (separate issue), there seems to be a hidden code creeping into my embedded twitter feed, and it’s preventing me from configurating a limit to the number of posts that show up.

Basically, what is happening is this: I copy the code straight from the twitter account, but then as soon as I save it in WordPress the code changes.

    The original is this:
    Tweets by @BrookesUCU
    <script>!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],p=/^http:/.test(d.location)?’http’:’https’;if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src=p+”://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js”;fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,”script”,”twitter-wjs”);</script>

And it changes to: (“saved version”)
    Tweets by @BrookesUCU
    <script>!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],p=/^http:/.test(d.location)?’http’:’https’;if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src=p+”://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js”;fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,”script”,”twitter-wjs”);</script>

Then whether I try to add the number limit (data-tweet-limit=”3″) to the original (and then save) or to the saved version, it always revert to the same saved version of the code and removes my edits.

Would appreciate help on this one as well.

@cvergerio Can you please select layout 4 and let us know so we can take a look?

and can you please let us know how you added the twitter code?

I have sorted the Twitter issue.

I can’t leave Layout 4 in place because it looks too awful, but I have taken a screenshot. Can I send it to you somehow?

@cvergerio You can use imgur.com to upload the screenshot and then share the imgur link here.

    Thanks

    Ok. So:

    – this is what layout 1 looks like, which is unhelpful since I need the titles to appear: https://i.imgur.com/l0a3qlh.png

    – and this is what layout 4 does: https://i.imgur.com/rFQqoWS.png

@cvergerio Are these screenshots take from a mobile device? or did you add the widgets to your Sidebar?

    (@cvergerio)

I added them to the Sidebar. These are screenshots of my computer.

@cvergerio The Posts Widget is not compatible with Sidebar. We will add this feature in the next version which will be out in a few days.

    Thanks
