  • Hello motherearthoils,

Can you please try by updating the ‘woocommerce’ plugin the issue may be because of old version of woocommerce.

    Thanks

And i just updated to 4.5.2 last week

Hey, you need to disable gateway plugin manually to regain access.

You can do so either using FTP/SFTP or through cPanel’s File Manager.

Go to “wp-content” folder, then to “plugins” folder. Inside “plugins” folder, delete or rename “woocommerce-gateway-paypal-powered-by-braintree” folder. This will manually disable the plugin.

Then go back to WordPress admin and visit plugins page, you’ll see an error message that says plugin was deactivated. And everything should work fine now.

Now, the problem will be identifying what’s causing the error in the first place with the gateway plugin.

    Hey Viktor
I did not build my website, and the person who created it did all the transfer of files in 2012 to my ftp site, and i dont have permission to access the files, i cannot reach him.I don’t know what the cPanel is and cannot even get into my admin page now that the error comes up…im just lost.

It looks like your website is hosted with iPage. Do you know anything about an iPage account? Or nothing at all?

No, I did not, never heard of iPage…..

That’s what I was afraid of. iPage won’t do anything to give you access to your website. Only account owner can do that. Continue to try to contact developer that’s managing your website, maybe he’s sick and will be back.

What exactly happens when you try to login? Are you able to reach any pages?

    Just getting the error…

No, I cannot locate him anywhere…been trying since 2013

Well, iPage and my webhost Fatcow are sister companies…who knew??

    (@motherearthoils)

They fixed the error!! I can get in!!!
Thank you for telling me about IPage!!!!

Oh ok, so your account is through Fatcow. That’s where you should be able to find FTP login details. It’s also a good idea to have a backup of your website, in case something like this happens.
