    Hello,

I have WPML plugin active. When I click on buddydrive section on my profile’s page, the link leads me to example.com/buddydrive but it should leads to example.com/members/profile/buddydrive.

When I disable WPML everything is fine.

    Please help.

[EDIT] I forgot. I’ve changed theme on twentysixteen and it doesn’t help.

Sorry, but have you just activated BuddyDrive or is this something that appeared since the 2.0.0 upgrade and that was working before (1.3.3) ?

Also what is “buddydrive section” ?

Could you add links to detailled screenshots ?

I see no reason for WPML to edit the user links ?? very weird..

I don’t remember, but I think it happened earlier, before update.
Buddydrive section I mean buddydrive page on my buddypress profile.

I did the test. I disabled all plugins except WPML and WPML String Translations and problem still occurs, so I suppose that WPML can cause problem.

On my second test site everything is OK even after WPML activation. That’s why this problem is weird.

Every page lead to example.com/members/myprofile/page and when I click on buddydrive it’s redirecting me to example.com/buddydrive, but it should be example.com/members/myprofile/buddydrive (screenshot)

Please help, I don’t want to configure whole website again.

What happens if you bring back the old UI using this filter :

    add_filter( 'buddydrive_use_deprecated_ui', '__return_true' );

    in a bp-custom.php file for example ?

It bring back number of files next to the buddydrive name.

But it still redirects me to the buddydrive page, not to my buddydrive files.

Ok thanks, it was worth checking, you can remove the filter if you haven’t done it yet.

WPML is a premium plugin, so i can’t test it. If you are sure the problem is due to this plugin, i advise you to ask for their support.

Sorry i can’t help you more on this problem.

I have the same issue contacted the WPML-support.

At this time BuddyDrive (or since the last update 2.0) isn’t compatible with WPML. The WPML-support told me, that you can go to the “Go global programm”, to take BuddyDrive compatible.

    https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/

I think lots of people use WPML and also BuddyPress with BuddyDrive. It would be great, when both were compatible.

    Kind regards

    I see.

I don’t see why WPML is making BuddyDrive fail! This reply is completely amazing so to stop WPML from breaking the plugin I need to join their program???!???

This is a Premium plugin, i will never join such a program, i’m sorry.

    Hello

I have the same problem, when I deactivate the WPML Plug-In then all works fine. If I have activated the WPML I could see only a blank page (on folder and file link). temporally I have insert the code
    add_filter( 'buddydrive_use_deprecated_ui', '__return_true' );
in the buddydrive.php, so I could link the files directly (passwort protected) on a website, but I couldn’t Link the folder directly. I work with BuddyPress and the BuddyDrive would be an ideal solution for me and I hope it is a solution in reach.

Thanks a lot for the great Plug-In, Ulrich

I had the opportunity to discuss with WPML team. We should find a fix soon.

    Great!

looking forward to the fix and will donate it
we need both plugins and i do not see a alternnnative to your awesome plugin buddydrive

Hi folks – I seem to have stumbled onto the same BuddyDrive + WPML “URL collision” that both @radar013 & @ulrichstettler have described. I thought I’d see if there were any further time/dev thoughts on where the source of a sol’n might be, either with WPML or on the BuddyDrive development fronts? I’ve tried rolled back version of BuddyDrive (back to v1.3.0) & the URL collision between WPML & BuddyDrive looks to not be related to BuddyDrive 2.0.0.

I also know that @imath is handing over the baton for BuddyDrive ongoing dev support, so any initial thoughts on this specific WPML / BuddyDrive conflict/issue @mrpritchett? If anyone has any insight as to where some sort of intermediate sol’n to allow WPML & BuddyDrive to co-exist, I’d be willing to go deeper to see where the code-collision(s) might be happening. BuddyDrive is a “very” impressive & valuable plugin for BuddyPress & I can appreciate the amount of work that has gone into it’s development, so many thx for making BuddyDrive!

I’ll make some inquiries over @ WPML, though overall WPML support for BuddyPress is understandably quite limited, & may be even more so with core-code changes to BuddyPress Groups, BPNavMenus, etc in BP 2.5.x & 2.6.x.

Ping/email/share w/ me with any suggestions &/or if anyone has any additionals insights around solutions (temporary &/or permanent) to make BuddyDrive & WPML “play nice together”. -Jeff

The same problem in my wp installation.

Same problem here also, is there any fix yet please?

Are there a solution in sight? This would make me and others so very happy. Thanks
