Submenu entries in main menu are unreachable

I am trying to work on this theme for an INTRANET (therefore I cannot provide links), using CW Magazine V. 1.1.8

The issue is, once a submenu has been created, if the submenu is not right next to the parent menu item, it will be unreachable.

In this picture, the user has selected the “Field Operations” menu item. The Submenu item is “Equipment” which shows up to the top right of the menu. Once the mouse is moved away from the Menu Item “Field Operations”, the Submenu item “Equipment” will disappear, thus being unreachable.

I hope my explanation is clear, and I am sorry I cannot provide with a link to look at the webpage because, again, this is an intranet only available for our employees.
