Etsy API Notification: You are close to exhausting your rate limit

  • First of all thanks for this awesome Etsy app! Saved my life!
    And thanks for using your time to develop.

    I am sorry to bother, but I keep getting warning mails from Etsy with following content:

    Etsy API Notification: You are close to exhausting your rate limit

    Dear Developer,

    This message is regarding your Etsy App, SALZ Tokyo Etsy Shop, with api_key: xxxxxx

    This message is to notify you that you are near the limit of your Etsy API quota. You have reached 80% of your quota of: 12 requests per 1 second(s)

    If your application requires a higher quota, please contact us at [email protected] with a description of your app and the requests you are making.

    I had this issue some months ago and contacted them so they raised the limit, but now I got the same problem again.

    Is there anything you or I can do to not always hit the limit?
    My page is rather fresh with not so many visitors per month (1200 page views this month) so I can’t think of why??

    I’ve had the same problem with this plugin over time. I contacted Etsy, they raised their limit and I still get it. Could you please describe how to change the cache configuration? I have gotten two notifications from Etsy on a very low-activity site.
