Cannot Test Checkout using Localhost and Sandbox Account

  • While testing/building the site in localhost, I got a certificate error while using chrome. Support told me “…this is because you don’t have an SSL certificate and are trying to connect via https. You can always test using chrome, simply click the advanced option and select continue.”

    I did that and continued to try to proceed to try to do a credit card test in my authorize sandbox account. I never can get to a page that allows me to put in a test credit card, etc. I can register to my site, but I cannot check out.

    Thoughts?

    How are doing today? ??

    This might sound silly but could you please double check that you have Sandbox set indeed, SSL should only be used on Live Stripe setup.

    Yes, I am definitely in Sandbox. In fact, on the site, it says Sandbox when I get to the sign-up button.

    No, it is on local host and not live, yet.

    Hi oldegraye,

    I did couple of more tests on my local installation and couldn’t replicate this issue, it looks like this is something specific to your installation, perhaps settings in your test web development environment.

    Is there possibility to get this on some live staging site so you can check if it happens there as well?
